Just an update for those looking for a cod fix before seasons end. The river is running Coffee coloured at Swan Hill, Robinvale, Euston, Wemen all the way down stream through Red Cliffs. The dirty water is just about to hit Mildura. Above Wentworth is still clear at the moment but that will be the next to go. Its great to see a bit of flow in the river but its a shame about the clarity of the water.

Apparently it is pretty good there water wise. Couple of the boys from MM went out on the weekend and said the water was fairly clear and a bit of flow going down it.

Good luck Rod those Mulloway will give you some curry on a fly stick .

Stormy the way its looking too mate i will be on the loddon, i have leave so i’m going to be some where. Do you know what the loddon is like at the moment ?

As Rod said it might be worth a go up there just to mark a few sangs for when the water is back up.

Nigel the water is dirty over that way also. Might clear before seasons end but all reports have the river running dirty well upstream so not looking good. Maybe the Loddon could be worth a try.

Yep i am in the same boat Virty, not sure where to go. Was thinking of maybe heading up towards Tooleybuc as relatives have some property on the river. Have you heard what the water is like up that way Rod? Otherwise may just hid the Loddon for the weekend.

Good question Virty. Robinvale has turned to soup this water is heading downstrean towards Mildura might nearly be there by now. Next lock down to Wentwoth still clean at the moment but with more bait in the river than I have ever seen, most cod would be fuller than a doctors wallet.
Might head to Nelson myself and try a few of those flys on the fresh run of Mulloway that have reportedly entered the river. Good fun and a great spot. Will let you know if I hear any news.

Great info Rod, where will i be for the close ?
